Situated in Palit, the hotel Tamaris is not far away from the town of Rab. Palit, on the other hand, is located by the St. Eufemija lagoon, which is surrounded by a small peninsula named Frkanj known for its pristine nature and enchanting lagoons. Another peninsula extending from Frkanj, Kalifront, is a region where the protected forest ''Dundo'' is located. It is known for its marvelous, centuries-old Holm Oak trees autochthonous to this region. One more distinctive feature are small, charming lagoons on the west side of the island.
